Taos Winter Wine Festival is an annual event every January. At the Grand and Reserve Tastings, wineries from around the world offer tastes of their new vintages and local restaurants pair with their tastiest appetizers. There are also numerous wine classes and wine dinners throughout the town of Taos and Taos Ski Valley.

This year’s Taos Winter Wine Festival has two premier tastings:
Thursday January 21, Taste of Taos & Reserve Tasting at the elegant El Monte Sagrado Resort. Wine Country comes to the historic town of Taos with a dozen of the towns’ best restaurants serving signature appetizers alongside tastes of reserve wine from owners and winemakers from 30 participating wineries. This Opening Night Reserve Tasting also features a silent auction of wine to benefit the Taos High School Culinary Arts Program. $75 - (Reserve) 5:00 to 7:30pm. Free shuttles from Snakedance in TSV from 4:00pm.
Friday January 22, The Grand Tasting at the Taos Ski Valley Resort Center (at the foot of chairlift #1) features more than 150 different wines from 30 participating wineries and tastes from a dozen of Taos and Taos Ski Valley’s finest restaurants. Is there a better way to end a great day of skiing one of the world’s best mountains? A silent auction of rare wines benefits the Taos Community Foundation. $75 - 4:00 to 6:30pm. Free shuttle service from Taos starting at 3:00pm.
The festival will feature wine seminars every afternoon (Wednesday, January 20 through Sunday, January 24) at the Snakedance in the Taos Ski Valley, conveniently located just off chair number one for your skiing convenience. The seminars include Wines of the Rhone Valley, Biondi Santi Brunello Vertical, Oregon Pinot Noir Vertical, Joseph Phelps Insignia Blending, Great Wines of Northern Italy, Biodynamic and Organic Winegrowing, and Mondavi Cabernet Reserve Vertical.

Local Taos restaurants — in the town of Taos and in the Taos Ski Valley — will take turns hosting nightly winery dinners. In this intimate winery dinner format, attending wineries will partner with some of Taos’s best restaurants including Snakedance, Lambert's, Graham's Grille, Sabroso, El Meze, Edelweiss, Bavarian, Doc Martin's, and the OBL.
